Bio
Cheryl A. McGuire, OD is a family practice optometrist who is very enthusiastic when it comes to helping her patients see better. She knows that every family has different needs and requires different aspects of eye care. She is specialty trained to serve your entire family in many areas, including routine eye care, contact lenses, corneal transplant and refractive surgery contact lens fitting and care, and surgical comanagement.
Dr. McGuire was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. She received her undergraduate degree at the State College of New York at Buffalo and her optometric degree at the University of Houston School of Optometry. She completed her residency at the Colmery-O’Neil VA Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. She joined Grene Vision Group in 1992.
Dr. McGuire is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. She is also a regular speaker for the Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists and has published several articles for ophthalmic journals and books.
Dr. McGuire is married and has four children. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, art and house restoration.
