Bio
Jennifer E. Taylor, OD, has been practicing in her native city of Wichita since 2000. As a student at Maize High School, Dr. Taylor became interested in her future profession at the age of 14 when she received her first pair of glasses. She received her undergraduate degree from Fort Hays State University and her optometric degree from Illinois College of Optometry where her course work included Family Practice Optometry, Contact Lenses, Surgical and Disease CoManagement. She has carried over her clinical experiences to create an environment where patients feel comfortable and confident in addressing their eyecare needs.
Dr. Taylor is involved in the InfantSee program that screens infants up to 12 months; as well as the See to Learn program which screens 3-year old children. One of her missions is to achieve healthy, working eyes for all children in order to prepare them to be successful in school.
There are many reasons to see Dr. Taylor yearly, whether it is updating an eyeglasses prescription, comanaging diabetes, ARMD, or other systemic diseases that can affect the eye. She also prescribes contacts that are now available for most people even those with astigmatism or bifocals.
Dr. Taylor practices on both the west side at the Socora location and the east side at the Webb location.
