Position Title: Charge Nurse Reports to: Clinical Director
POSITION SUMMARY: Assists the Clinical Director in the daily clinical operations of the OR and/or PACU/Pre-Op in accordance with established Federal, State, accreditation standards and center policies and procedures. Participates in the development and implementation of QAPI activities. Maintains and produces monthly PACU stats and records. Responsible for the maintenance of equipment, purchasing drugs and controlled substances, pre-op and PACU, Operating Room orientation, and accuracy of medical records.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certificates/Eligibility: Current Kansas R.N. license and BCLS. ACLS preferred. Prefer three (3) years experience as an OR nurse. Prefer leadership and Circulating experience within the last five years. Knowledge of regulatory standards.

Knowledge: Working knowledge and experience in PACU and/or OR from hospital or ambulatory surgery center including direct patient care. Ability to adhere to work schedule and manage time appropriately. Ability to effectively manage the activities and personnel in the OR and PACU. Knowledge of current nursing matters relating to healthcare management including QAPI. Ability to utilize resources in an organized and effective manner.
MACHINES, EQUIPMENT, WORK AIDES: Computer, printer, copier, telephone and fax. Knowledge of patient monitoring equipment, defibrillator.
