Retina Specialist Joins Grene Vision Group

Grene Vision Group welcomes Wichita native Diana M. Leitner, MD.

Dr. Leitner is a fellowship-trained medical retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon. She specializes in both office-based and surgical care of the retina and vitreous, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, retinal detachments, uveitis and inflammatory eye disease.

She graduated from Oberlin College with a degree in physics, and earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas. She completed her internship at the University of Kansas-Wichita, and completed ophthalmology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania, where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Leitner completed her fellowship in Medical Retina at Duke Medical Center and her fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center.

Dr. Leitner is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS). In her free time, she enjoys handcrafts and camping. She is excited to be back in Wichita.

She sees patients at 655 North Woodlawn and 1277 North Maize Road in Wichita and at 1708 East 23rd Avenue in Hutchinson.

Grene Vision Group is the Platinum Sponsor for the sixth annual “Let’s Move, Kansas” 5K run and 1.5 mile walk on Saturday, October 19 at Sedgwick County Park in Wichita. The event benefits the Kansas Academy of Family Physicians Foundation. The Kansas Academy of Family Physicians-Foundation (KAFP-F) is the philanthropic arm of the Kansas Academy of Family Physicians. The mission is to promote the philosophy of family medicine, research, and education of Kansas Family Physicians. Contributions provide support for Kansas programs involving pre-medical & medical students and family medicine residents.

The 2019 award was announced by the Wichita Business Journal and all honorees were recognized at a special dinner October 10. Dr. Gangadhar's subspecialties include Corneal Transplantation, Cataract and Lens Implant Surgery, and Cornea and External Disease. Dr. Amstutz's subspecialties include Cosmetic and Functional Eyelid Surgery, Tear Duct and Orbital Disorders, and Cataract and Lens Implant Surgery.

Registration begins at 9 am and the 1- to 3-mile walk starts at 10 am.
