Biomedical Equipment Technician Job in Wichita, KS

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for all service-related activities with OEM vendors, maintenance, repair, spare parts inventory, biomedical equipment, and physical plant repair & maintenance. Must work closely with and be responsive to Clinic and ASC operations management, IT, real estate and purchasing. Qualified candidates will have a strong technical background which may include an associate degree or military training in electronics, Mechanical or biomedical technology.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Qualities and traits: collaborative, independent, analytical, mechanical, self-motivated, self-starter, continuously strives to stay up to date and increase their knowledge/skills.
  • Prior experience working in a mechanical, automotive, or construction industry, or medical technical setting (preferred but not required).
  • Manual dexterity required - ability to use common hand tools and small power equipment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely move large/bulky equipment.
  • Ability to create a safe and efficient work environment.

 

Education and Credentials:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Associate degree in electronics, industrial maintenance/ biomedical technology, or equivalent (preferred but not required)
  • Valid Driver's License issued in the employee’s state of residence required.
