Jennifer E. Taylor, OD has been practicing in her native city of Wichita since 2000. As a student at Maize High School, Dr. Taylor became interested in her future profession at the age of 14 when she received her first pair of glasses. She received her undergraduate degree from Fort Hays State University and her optometric degree from Illinois College of Optometry. She has carried over her clinical experiences to create an environment where patients feel comfortable and confident in addressing their eyecare needs.
Dr. Taylor is involved in the InfantSee program that screens infants up to 12 months; as well as the See to Learn program which screens 3-year old children. One of her missions is to achieve healthy, working eyes for all children in order to prepare them to be successful in school.
There are many reasons to see Dr. Taylor yearly, whether it is updating an eyeglasses prescription, comanaging diabetes, ARMD, or other systemic diseases that can affect the eye. She also prescribes contact lenses that are now available for most people -- even those with astigmatism or bifocals.
“I look forward to coming to work EVERY day to open up the world for someone who is in need of visual correction. I remember how great it was to see things I had never noticed before my first pair of glasses. Additionally, I love the environment Grene Vision Group provides for our patients. It gives me a chance to know my patients on a more personal level.”
Dr. Taylor provides care to her patients at the Maize Road and Ridge Road locations in Wichita, KS.
