Bio

Dr. Christie Rose is a family practice optometrist that sees patients of all ages. As an optometrist, she values the importance of quality patient care above all else and prides herself in always going above and beyond in the pursuit of that goal. Her specialties include pediatrics, vision therapy and specialized contact lens fittings.

Dr. Rose is a Wichita native and graduate of Wichita Southeast High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Kansas State University, majoring in Microbiology. She attended optometry school at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry (NSUCO) in Tahlequah, OK, where she graduated magna cum laude. The following year, she did a post-graduate residency at NSUCO, specializing in corneal and contact lenses, and later received certification as Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO).

Dr. Rose is an adjunct professor at the NSU Oklahoma College of Optometry, where she has optometry students rotate through her practice for their fourth year externships. She has recently started an externship site with MCPHS College of Optometry in Massachusetts.

Dr. Rose received several awards while in optometry school, including the NSUCO Clinical Excellence Award, The Pfeiffer Award for Excellence in Ocular Pathology Research, the Vistakon Award of Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care, the Contact Lens Clinical Excellence Award, KSU Cancer Research Award, and the Bezan Outstanding Student Award.

Outside of work, Dr. Rose loves to travel and go to all of her daughters' sporting events, activities and plays. Her greatest joy is watching them blossom academically, athletically, and artistically.
